Workshops

All the different workshops happening over the 2 days, and the materials required, are listed below. Each time slot will have multiple workshops running at the same time.

Materials Required:​

 

  • 3-4 woollen thread bundles - colors of your choice

  • 1 jute thread bundle

  • Newspapers

  • Fevicol

  • Scissors

  • One cap of a round container:  radius around 13 cm

  • 2 Square papers ( min 6" by 6")

  • Drawing pad

  • Pencil

  • Eraser

  • Computer

  • Pen on pencil

  • 1  a4 size white sheet

  • Black permanent marker

  • Basic stationery: pencil, sharpener, small scale, eraser, fevicol, scissor

  • Sketch pen set

  • Colour pencils/crayons set

  • 1  a4 size black sheet

Utkarsha Tie and Dye.png

Materials Required:​

  • White cotton fabric

  • Turmeric powder OR 30-40 red roses

  • Rubber band packet

  • Pair of tongs

  • Ice cubes

  • A bucket of water

  • Strainer

  • Stainless steel pot (bhagoni)

  • Vinegar

  • Measuring cup

Laptops are preferred. Mobile phones or tablets with good internet connection and good storage can also work

  • Blank sheets (3-4 pages)

  • Stationery (scale, pencil, eraser, sketch pen etc)

  • 10 buttons (or tokens) each of two different colours

Materials Required:​

  • Butter - 1/2 cup

  • Flour - 1 cup

  • Sugar - 3/4 cup

  • Egg (if you are a vegetarian get 1/2 cup milk)

  • Egg beater (whisk) or fork

  • Baking tray

  • Oven or if you don’t have an oven then - plate, heavy bottom pan (cooker is preferred)

  • big plate or stand smaller than the cooker

  • 4 wool colours (1 is also fine but 4 will be better so that you don’t get confused)

  • 1 scissor

  • Tape (I suggest masking tape)

  • small bowl to fill water in

  • candle

  • transparent drinking glass or mug 

  • a plate

  • match sticks

  • some turmeric powder

  • two plastic or paper cups, 

  • any kind of thick thread or wool or yarn, 

  • a safety pin

Materials Required:​

  • 4 slices of hard crust bread

  • 8-9 unpeeled garlic cloves

  • 4 medium sized tomatoes

  • 2 tsp black pepper powder

  • 6-7 leaves of fresh basil (dried basil would work as well)

  • 5 tbsp olive oil or butter

  • 1/2 cup of Mozzarella cheese or Pizza cheese which can melt easily

  • 1 tawa

  • Rough cloth and tissue

  • Black colour pen

  • A4 drawing paper

  • Pencil, eraser, scale

  • Calligraphic bamboo flat stick OR ice cream stick

  • Paints

  • Small canvas/paper

  • Paint brush

  • Palette or any plate to mix the paints

  • Water container

  • Rough cloth

  • Wool or yarn (more colours  than one if possible) 

  • a writing pad or tape or a safety pin 

  • a scissor 

  • beads (optional)

Note: Multiple workshops will take place at the same time. All participants will be required to choose the sessions they want to attend. We request parents to let children make this choice and let them experience JOMO (Joy of Missing Out) over FOMO (Fear of Missing Out)
